Most of our students come to us ready to learn, play, and enjoy school. Some aren’t fully ready due to some physical, mental, and emotional restraints. Maybe they haven’t learned the tools that they need in order to be successful in school. That’s where these Social Stories/ Narratives come in! These products are useful in the classroom because you can read the Social Story/ Narrative and then you can reinforce the skills with the activities that are included in each product.

I can Listen to Adults Social Story/ Narrative
These social stories/ narratives are an easy way to discuss listening to adults in the classroom and in the home. They are perfect to read and discuss at the beginning of the year or when you get a new student. These are made in a smaller version to send home to reinforce what you are teaching in the classroom.

I Can Take a Break When Mad Social Story/ Narrative
These social stories/ narratives are an easy way to discuss taking a break when getting mad either at home or in the classroom. The book discusses the wrong/unsafe way to react when getting mad and the right/safe way to react when trying to calm down.

I Can Get Attention in a POSITIVE Way Social Story/ Narrative
These social stories/ narratives are an easy way to discuss getting attention in the classroom in a positive way instead of a negative way. The first half of the story is focused on negative behaviors that get attention. The next half explains the alternative positive behaviors that get attention in a way that helps the student, the teacher, and the entire class.
This product is unique because one version is a regular book with pictures and the other version has a blank space for the picture to be pasted or velcroed onto the page to make this book interactive. You can ask, “Show me the boy who is yelling” or “Show me the girl asking her friend to play in a positive way”. There are four different boys and four different girls with ethnicities to help personalize the social story.

These social stories/ narratives are an easy way to discuss how to listen and learn during whole-group instruction. You can personalize the social story by using all of the pages for the story or pick and choose which pages work for your own classroom. There are four boys and four girls with different ethnicities to help personalize the social story for your students. Also included is a picture match with the positive and negative actions, rule cards, break cards, and timecards.
