Interactive Seasonal Bulletin Boards

Do you struggle with keeping your students engaged and learning, especially during whole-group instruction? I plan to teach the standard/skill for each bulletin board during whole group instruction and then let my students interact and teach each other during center time or free choice. These haunted houses are perfect for teaching uppercase letter recognition, lowercase letter recognition, and beginning sounds! During large group instruction, teach them over a few days, and let your students explore and have fun! These are a perfect tool to leave up for October to encourage play around the alphabet!

Use these “scary” faces to teach number identification and one-to-one correspondence. Instructions are included to help you put this together and make your classroom more interactive for October! One idea is to use the HP instant ink boxes by hot gluing the three sides to place the faces on. Leave the bottom unglued so students can reach in and play repeatedly with the numbers and objects. Have your students teach each other after you introduce it to the whole class, and get them excited to learn!

These are perfect for an interactive bulletin board on reading sentences, a whole group lesson, a small group lesson, a literacy center, or in dramatic play!
