Utilizing Visual Schedule Cards

Students with special needs need a variety of tools for success in the classroom. One fundamental element is the use of visual schedule cards. Schedules enable students to become more independent and it takes some pressure off of the teacher to always be “on”. Being “on” essentially means that you don’t get a break. Directives are coming all day long with verbal reminders, hand-over-hand assistance, verbal prompts.. Why not make it easier for you and for your students? I have created a variety of teaching tools incorporating visual schedule cards to help you in your classroom to work smarter not harder.

These visual schedule cards are editable and perfect to use with individual tasks, whole group tasks, or daily schedules. The cards are editable for you to create your own specifications for your own classroom use.

Incorporate visual cards into your circle time or morning meeting to help your students stay engaged and motivated. Give your student who has the hardest time focusing the job to take off the card when you have completed that part.

These visual schedule cards are perfect for classroom and home use. Have your strategies apply across different settings by sending home these visual cards.

I want to make your job easier by inserting “breaks” for you with these visual cards. Check them out and let me know if they make a difference. Thanks for all that you do!!!
