Transportation Thematic Mini-Unit – Interactive Transportation Activities
Use this thematic mini-unit to teach your students about transportation. This is perfect for morning work, whole-group instruction, word walls, math, and literacy centers.
Included in this mini-unit are the following activities:

Transportation Vocabulary, Beginning Sounds, and Counting BOOM™ Cards- Interactive Transportation Activities
Use these BOOM Cards™ to help your students acquire vocabulary, beginning sounds, and counting to 10. They are perfect to accompany your thematic unit on transportation. Use them for specific speech goals and objectives. They are great for data collection. They can be used in a whole-group lesson on the whiteboard or assigned individually on iPads for independent workstations.
Transportation Activities GOOGLE Slides™ – Interactive Transportation Activities
This digital thematic unit on Transportation includes 4 literacy and 3 math activities.
LITERACY ACTIVITIES:
- Match the vehicle picture to the vehicle picture.
- Match the vehicle picture to the word that spells the vehicle.
- Read the “I see” sentence and drag and drop the correct amount of vehicles into the last box.
- Look at the pictures on the wheels of the bike. If they rhyme, drag and drop the thumbs-up picture. If they don’t rhyme, drag and drop the thumbs-down picture.
MATH ACTIVITIES:
- Look at the numbers in the black boxes. Drag and drop the correct amount of counters into the base ten boxes.
- Look at the patterns. (ABAB, AABAAB, ABBABB, ABCABC) Extend the patterns with the vehicle pictures.
- Measure the different vehicles with cubes and drag and drop the correct number into the box.
