Seasonal Positional Words Activities for Preschool and Special Education

My students could not get enough of moving Santa in, on, under, and behind things in four different Christmas rooms. So I made one for Thanksgiving. Then Valentine’s Day. Then St. Patrick’s Day. Then Easter.
Before I knew it, I had a full year of positional words covered — and I finally bundled them all together.
Why Positional Words Matter So Much in Preschool and Special Education
Positional language — in, on, under, behind, beside — appears frequently in Preschool and Special Education Standards as well as IEPs.
But practicing prepositions with flat worksheets gets old fast.
That is exactly why I built these adorable products and incorporated some visual directive cards. Students see a character, follow a direction, and place it in a new spot. It is hands-on, it is visual, and it sticks.
