Students are beginning their amped up, candy-driven, crazy imaginations leading up to Halloween. It seems as if every book, every conversation, and every teachable moment brings on the discussion about Halloween and costumes!! Why not insert a fun, educational theme around pumpkins? I have created multiple resources about pumpkins and pick and choose which fun and engaging activities I use throughout the week.
I ALWAYS begin the unit with my BOOM Cards™. They are a fun and interactive way to kick off the week! The thematic unit has 10 activities ready to go. Towards the end of the week, we LOVE carving a pumpkin as a whole group! Add in the adorable counting activity with these pumpkin mats and your week is complete!!!
